Great Wargaming Survey 2025

Jonathan over at Palouse Wargaming Journal alerted me that the 2025 edition of this questionnaire is now open. I am a serial 'data point' and have completed it again. It's a bit of fun to do and Jon does some excellent analyses that he presents on his blog.

I doubt that anyone who reads this blog does not read his, but the link to the questionnaire is here, just in case!

  1. Yep, that time of year. Does go quickly, they did rephrase a little bit, which was less tedious than earlier renditions.

    1. The surveying software is improving too which allows ranking choices much easier than earlier editions.

    2. Too true Jonathan, the software is pretty swish.

  3. It doesn't hurt to pass the message on James, just in case.

    1. Thanks Lawrence.
Yeah, the more who complete it the more interesting Jon's analyses and the better the results represent the population of wargamers (English speakers/readers, at least).

  4. I did the survey, James. We must get together soon for some more Napoleonic action. How are those early French going?

    1. That'll be grand, gotta get me wheels sorted first.
Those French, or more specifically the Haitians have been in limbo for a while as I have been obsessing about the Pacific, ships of steel and oil and their associated fly-boys (as my other blog will attest) 😀

  5. Been there, done that - didn't get a T shirt but they gave me a discount code that I almost certainly won't use!

    1. It's for the greater good/edification of us all Keith, not for a few baubles!

  6. Like Keith I've done it and read the free(until September) article on Napoleon so there is some kind of quid pro quo beyond just being altruistic!
    Best Iain
